The Project Story

An excavation contractor in Oregon had two residential jobs queued up — one in West Linn, one in Happy Valley — and needed rock for both on the same morning. The West Linn site was a tight-access lot where the rear patio area sat on the opposite side of a fresh foundation. The Happy Valley site needed 18 yards of 1½-¾" crushed drain rock placed into a narrow trench along the perimeter of a new foundation.

S1 operator Rob accomplished both loads seamlessly, back to back. First pickup was 16 yards of ¾-0" at the rock yard closest to West Linn. At the site, he positioned the conveyor truck in the street and shot the rock over the foundation into the back patio — remote-controlled, line-of-sight to the drop, material placed precisely. Then back to the rock yard for 18 yards of 1½-¾" crushed drain rock, and on to Happy Valley, where he placed the rock in a trench along the perimeter drain around the foundation.

Two full loads. Two different materials. Two placements. One operator from the first pickup to the last placement — and one call to Jenna Mae.
